The integration of natural systems into architectural and interior design is no longer viewed as purely aesthetic but rather as essential to emotional, cognitive, and physiological wellness (Kellert et al., 2008).
As the hospitality industry increasingly intersects with health, sustainability, and experiential travel, understanding how biophilic architecture impacts both user experience and business outcomes becomes imperative.
2. Theoretical Foundations of Biophilic Design
2.1 The Biophilia Hypothesis
Edward O. Wilson’s (1984) biophilia hypothesis posits that human beings are evolutionarily adapted to respond positively to natural stimuli. Conducting a comparative case study of Middle Eastern and Western resorts using measurable performance and guest data
Exploring privacy-enhanced biophilic strategies for luxury travel clientele
This contribution not only advances design practice but also supports investor decision-making and enhances future planning in the wellness-focused hospitality market.
